The Jersey County Historical Society Museum and Research
Center contains artifacts and clothing from times past including
military clothing and equipment from the Civil War through
Desert Storm.  In the front section of the building data and
information is available for everyone to research

There are over 1000 very old antiques and collectibles that are on
display in the Museum, from hair weavings to a large "Mamouth"
leg bone.

Articles and uniforms of veteran soldiers from the "Civil War" up
to and including "Desert Storm".  Several medals are on display.

Located in the new addition of the Museum is probably one of
the finest and largest collections of "Indian Artifact" such as
tools, arrow and spear heads, a bow with arrows and war heads.

Many old city photographs are on display in both the front room
and the transportation room.
A very rare Sears, Roebuck & Company "Motor Buggy"
such as the one in the above Sears ad is on display.
