The photo on the right shows the new Les Flautt addition that was dedicated in 2007
Les Flautt who is a long time member and supporter of the Jersey County Historical Society
has donated his large collection of antique artifacts and Indian collection to the Society.  Les
says that he couldn't think of a better place for it to be and that future generations from all
over the area will be able to enjoy the items.

This is probably one of the finest and largest collection of Indian artifacts in the State.  His
donation is a milestone and a giant leap forward for the Jersey County Historical Society
and the community of Jersey County.  We applaud him for his generosity!

This broken mammoth leg bone is approximately 36 inches in length and
was found half buried along a creek bed west of Otterville in Jersey
County.  Other items in this photo are Indian tools of all size and shape.
